Denise Howard

Denise Howard brings nearly four decades of public service experience to her role at Virginia Cooperative Extension. After serving as a financial analyst for the City of Hampton for almost 40 years, she now supports the Newport News Extension office by managing and overseeing its financial budget. Denise plays a vital role in representing both the City of Newport News and the Extension Office, working closely with staff and community members. Her responsibilities include assisting citizens, answering inquiries, and helping the public connect with the valuable resources offered by Extension.

Outside of work, Denise is a passionate gardener. She enjoys cultivating seasonal flowers in containers and caring for a variety of houseplants, bringing beauty and life to her home and office. When not tending to her leafy companions, she loves reading and watching movies.
