Kelsey M. Kline

(FCS) SNAP-Ed Extension Agent

Kelsey is a Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS), SNAP-Ed Extension Agent based in Newport News, and also serving the areas of Hampton, James City, New Kent, Charles City, Prince George, and York counties. 

Her responsibilities include building partnerships with early childcare centers, schools, and other community-based organizations to provide trainings and resources to volunteers to deliver evidence-based nutrition education for limited income youth and families. 

Kelsey is also involved in policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) change initiatives throughout the communities she serves. This PSE work includes serving on community coalitions, and partnering with schools, retail stores, farmers markets, and food pantries to promote healthy food access and opportunities for physical activity for SNAP-eligible families.

Kelsey earned a Masters of Public Health degree from University of New England and a

Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, playing basketball, and live music.
